An unveiling of the Nenagh AFC Brickfields Ltd shareholders board dedicated to the memory of Frank Maher took place last Saturday, October 4, at the clubhouse.
John Delaney FAI CEO said Nenagh AFC in developing Brickfields enabled access for boys and girls, men and women to play soccer in a safe environment. He added that their facilities were the one of the best in the region.
Mr Delaney acknowledged that Frank was a driving force in that development and that it was a fitting memorial to his memory.
Nenagh AFC Brickfields Ltd chairman Ciaran Scully, and secretary Greg Browne thanked their colleague John Sheehy, past chairman of Nenagh AFC and current member management committee Brickfields Ltd, for his work on developing the board.
Frank’s wife, Mary, spoke on behalf of herself and the family and thanked all involved for honouring the memory of her late husband, who passed away just over two years ago, saying he would have been be “most humbled” by this evening’s proceedings.
