Mise Eire screening in Cloughjordan

Cloughjordan community cineclub, in association with Cloughjordan Heritage Group, will have a free screening of the classic film Mise Eire on Sunday, January 24, at 8pm in the Thomas MacDonagh Heritage Centre. Broadcaster Sean MacReamoinn said that director George Morrison's 1959 film “came as a timely reminder to a new generation of the creative tension that can and must exist between past and present, between history and prophesy. And in the score of the film, the musical genius of Sean O’Riada gave us an old song for a new era.”
