Tipperary company Sound Out Theatre presents Conor McPherson’s adaptation of the chilling short story The Birds this Friday at the Source Arts Centre, Thurles.
The Birds sees three strangers thrust together in an unnatural post-apocalyptic world. McPherson’s play explores the darkest corners of the human psyche as a hard-wired need to survive takes over. Moral lines blur, and even the most sinister of actions becomes justifiable.
Treading the boards will be local actress Joanne Quinn who is fresh from Northern Ireland's most renowned stage - The Lyric Theatre. Joanne says she is “delighted” to be back in her home town working with Tipperary theatre company Sound Out Theatre .
