As usual the CahirSeventh Tipp Scout Group members were a busy bunch last week and with the weather not being good, members remained indoors for activities in the Parish Rooms, Cahir.

As their usual location of Cahir Community Hall is being upgraded, Ventures, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers will use the Parish Rooms for the next few months for activities.

Beavers have been busy since returning in the New Year. They’ve been working on pioneering and hill walking badges and preparing for some mountain hikes in the spring.

Cubs have been working through their lands of adventure, trying out activities like making kaleidoscopes, learning sign language and making time capsules.

Scouts have been busy perfecting their pioneering. Our patrol leaders have led activities building different pioneering structures like benches and ladders to teach the different types of lashing we use.

Ventures have been going from strength to strength. They are planning hikes and weekends away.

They have also been working on their special interest badges. So it’s all action as usual for our Scout Group members and their fantastic leaders. Well done to all.

The Cahir Group is now at capacity level for new members and can take no more until new leaders are appointed.
As always, the busy group welcome all enquiries from any interested adventurous people who would like to help out for a few hours a week.
