NEW: Entire Tipperary town to be without running water for one night next week

Uisce Éireann will switch off Cashel's water supply from 11pm on Tuesday, July 22, until 5am the following morning

Residents in the Cashel area can expect a night of disrupted water supply on the night of Tuesday, July 22.

Local councillor Liam Browne took to social media earlier today (Thursday, 17) to announce that Uisce Éireann is planning some major maintenance works and that the water supply for the whole town is to be switched off for a minimum of six hours.

"Water to the whole town will be turned off at 11pm next Tuesday night," Cllr Browne wrote on Facebook.

"Until 5am on Wednesday morning, to allow works to be done.

"If you use washing machines overnight, or any other appliances, the water will be off.

"Hopefully it will be back again by the time most people are up on Wednesday and disruption will be kept to a minimum."
