The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth has confirmed that the OPW will hand over the development of modular homes at Heywood Road, Clonmel to the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration for the accommodation of those seeking temporary protection as a result of the war in Ukraine today, Thursday.
A spokesperson at the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth has stated, "From next week colleagues in the Ukraine team at the Department will work with IOM (International Organisation for Migration) to place families in the homes.

"As my role is now complete, the ongoing contact for the management of Heywood Road will be Tuath Housing Body. Contact details will be provided to Tipperary County Council. Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration will continue to engage with Tuath.
