Clonmel Garda Station
Four new garda recruits will be allocated to Clonmel.
They are among the 154 new recruits who will graduate from the Garda Training College in Templemore this Friday, marking another important step in strengthening An Garda Síochána nationwide.
Welcoming the news, Deputy Michael Murphy said:
“I have consistently raised the need for increased garda resources for south Tipperary, both on the floor of the Dáil and directly with the Minister for Justice. I am therefore delighted to confirm that four of the new recruits will be allocated to Clonmel”.

"Maintaining law and order is not just a challenge for Dublin and the other large cities but also for every town, village and community across rural Ireland. Our communities deserve to feel safe and to have a visible Garda presence on our streets”.
Deputy Murphy concluded:
“This allocation demonstrates the Government’s commitment to building stronger and safer communities across the country. I will continue to work to ensure south Tipperary benefits fully from that commitment”.
