Repairs to begin on wall and road in Tipperary damaged by storm

The damaged wall and road at Tobaraheena Well on the Marlfield Road in Clonmel

The repair of the wall at Tobaraheena Well on Marlfield Road, Clonmel, is to begin next week.

The work is expected to take approximately a month to complete.

The wall was damaged during Storm Claudia in November, taking a section of the road with it.

Since then, a portion of the Marlfield Road has remained closed, with a diversion for traffic in place around Tobaraheena Well.

At a meeting of Clonmel Borough District some months ago, it was stated that the repairs would cost approximately €140,000.

It's understood that the Borough District recently received a grant of €112,000 for the work.
