On July 21st, 2025, DENIS, peacefully passed away in the presence of his loving family, in the tender care of the palliative care team at Bantry General Hospital. Dearly loved husband of Mary (née Byrnes), loving father of Timmy, Martin, Kathleen (O’Flynn), Maureen (Barrett) and Theresa (O’Donoghue), beloved son of the late Timothy and Catherine, dear brother of John, Brid, Mike, Terry, the late Tommy, Paddy, Margaret, Maura, Josie, Thady, Kate, Ned, Theresa and Jimmy.

Sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Donna, sons-in-law Jerry, Donal and James, his much loved grandchildren Seán, Laura, Katie, Daniel, Chloe, Karen, Marie, Emily, Molly, Eoghan and great -grandchildren Aoibheann, Lochlainn, Ellie and Croiadh, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel Street, Bantry, P75 YW58 on Wednesday July 23, from 6pm to 8pm with vigil prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday July 24, at 12noon at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery, Bantry.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to the Friends of Bantry General Hospital c/o Bantry General Hospital.

James (Jimmy) Fahey

James (Jimmy) Fahey (8 Cappagh Court, Cappawhite, Co. Tipperary) July 21st 2025, Jimmy died very peacefully in the excellent care of University Hospital Limerick surrounded by his family.

 

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret, his niece Margaret and his brother-in-law Sean.

 

Deeply regretted by his sisters Mary, Pauline and Ursula, brother-in-law Dan, nephews, niece, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.

 

Rest in peace.

 

Reposing at Whites Funeral Home Cappawhite (E34 WR83) Wednesday evening (23rd July) from 6.30 pm with removal at 8 pm to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cappawhite. Requiem Mass Thursday at 11.30 am with burial afterwards in Cappawhite cemetery.

John A Hally

John A, pre-deceased by his wife Mary, died peacefully at his home. He will be very sadly missed by the Hickey family of Cappagh, relatives, neighbours and many good friends.

Reposing at Costigan's Funeral Home, Cahir on Tuesday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral arriving to St. Mary's Church, Cahir on Wednesday morning for Reqiuem Mass at 10:30am. Susan Kennedy

It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of Susan Kennedy, (Kilkenny and late of Puckane and Thurles), who passed away unexpectedly, at her home, on the 19th of July 2025.

 

Predeceased by her parents Jimmy and Rita and her adored nephew Sean Tobin.

 

Deeply missed by her siblings Rosemary, Louise, Christopher and Caroline, her aunt Una Slattery, her brothers-in-law Michael Tobin and Tom McGurk, her nephew and niece Matthew and Sarah Tobin, her great-nephew Declan, extended family, and friends, especially Colette and Theresa at this sad time.

Reposing at Kennedy's Funeral Home, Dublin Rd., Eircode E41 XY47 on Wednesday evening, 23rd July from 5pm to 7pm. Skinner's funeral cortege will arrive at The Cathedral of the Assumption on Thursday morning, 24th July at 10.30am for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock. Cremation will take place in Shannon Crematorium at 4 o'clock.

Enagh, Monaghan Town, Monaghan, H18CT82 / Cahir, Tipperary and formerly Ballydrehid, Cahir, Co. Tipperary, July 21st 2025, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

 

Predeceased by his father Jim, his mother Hannah and his brother Vincent.

 

Sadly missed by his loving wife Úna, daughters Joanna and Orla, sons in law Paul and Leondis, grandsons Conor, Liam and Jack, brother in law Eamon, sisters in law Mary and Anne, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Peggie Ryan (Anthony)
(née Shaughnessy)

Formerly of Tynagh, Co. Galway. Peggie passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Padre Pio Nursing Home Holycross surrounded by her loving family. Peggie was predeceased by her husband Tony, parents Thomas and Delia, brothers Jack and Seamus, sisters Eileen and Mary. Fondly remembered by her daughter Deirdre, son in law Paul Cosgrave, grandchildren Isobel, Zara and Sophie, brother Pat, sisters in law Ann and Mary. A special mention to her nieces Joan and Michelle, many nieces and nephews, extended family, wonderful neighbours and friends.

As per Peggie's wishes her funeral will arrive to the Sacred Heart Church, Upperchurch on Wednesday afternoon for funeral mass at 12.30pm followed by burial in the local cemetery.

The death has occurred of Alice Walsh (née Cummins) Ballycraggan, Puckane, Nenagh, Tipperary (formerly Tullogher, County Kilkenny) on 20th July peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the Matron and staff of Nenagh Manor Nursing Home. Predeceased by her beloved husband Paddy Walsh (Puckane Crafts), brother Paddy Cummins, sisters Breda Plunkett and Mary Maher. Sadly missed by her loving brothers and sisters, Margaret Dowling, Jimmy Cummins, Eileen Heffernan, John Cummins, Theresa Collins and Carmel Cummins, sister in law Mary Seymour and family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
