BREAKING:  Fourth councillor elected in Carrick-on-Suir LEA

Carrick-on-Suir Fianna Fáil Cllr Kieran Bourke retained his seat when he became the fourth candidate to be elected in the Carrick-on-Suir LEA race after the fourth count, which was announced shortly before 1.30pm. 

The 12 transfers he received from the distribution of Michael 'Chicken' Brennan's surplus pushed him over the 1,508 surplus by 10 votes. 

The fifth count in the Carrick LEA election now commences with the distribution of eliminated Irish Freedom Party candidate Martin Murphy's 330 votes.
