Killenaule and Kilsheelan-Kilcash played out a draw in the South Tipperary senior football championship at Fethard, Killenaule 0-13 to Kilsheelan’s 1-10
Kilsheelan’s heavy defeat to Moyle Rovers and Killenaule’s failure to beat Fethard in Round 1 left both sides eager for victory and made for a very competitive game.
Kilsheelan looked to have had the game won in the closing stages following a lead point from Eoghan Ryan but John O’Dwyer hit a late equaliser for Killenaule
The result leaves Killenaule on two points and Kilsheelan-Kilcash on one point after two games, so a win sooner rather than later is imperative if either is to reach the knockout stages. Killenaule had fine displays throughout from Daniel Guinan, Declan Fanning, Paddy Codd and John O’Dwyer while best for Kilsheelan on the day were Tommy Ryan, Michael McHugh, Bill Maher and Eoghan Ryan.
