Tipperary to play Dublin in hurling league semi-final
A championship dress rehearsal between Tipperary and Limerick in the National Hurling League semi-final failed to materialise when the Shannonsiders lost to Dublin in the Division 1B final at Semple Stadium on Saturday evening.
Dublin won by a single point, 1-16 to 1-15, after Limerick had led at the interval 1-7 to 1-6.
Tipperary will now play Dublin in the semi-final on Sunday, April 21. Kilkenny and Galway play in the other semi-final.
Tipperary and Limerick meet in the Munster championship in May and many fans had been looking forward to a league clash to gauge form but instead it’s the Dubs who stand between Tipp and a final place that looked very unlikely following the first round nightmare against Cork.
