Tipperary senior hurlers continued their build-up to the new season with a comfortable win over an under-strength Offaly at Moneygall on Sunday.
Tipp won 3-18 to 1-10 as manager Eamon O’Shea continued to test out new players.
Tipp’s first competitive game of the new season is next weekend against Limerick IT in the Waterford Crystal Cup.
O’Shea will have not have learned a lot from the Offaly game as Brian Whelahan was forced to field a very weakened side but Tipp did what was asked of them.
Among those to catch the eye were John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer from Killenaule and Borrisoleigh’s Conor Kenny, each bagging 1-5
