On a fantastic weekend for Tipperary Ladies Football, Moyle Rovers also had a very good week end as the Junior team defeated Thurles in the county Semi Final and booked their place in the County Final.
The win over Thurles was very comprehensive. Conceding home advantage our girls put in a clinical performance to brush the Thurles challenge easily aside. Playing with the light breeze Moyle Rovers opened the scoring with a well taken Derbhile Fitzgerald point.
Points soon after by Monica Griffin and Sinead Heffernan had Moyle Rovers in a commanding position. A very good run from Kristy Crotty Ryan resulted with a well taken goal by the same player on about ten minutes which effectively killed off the game as contest. The half time score was 1-9 to 0-1.
On the resumption Moyle Rovers picked up where they left off and before the end of the game all the panel of players had played their part in a very comprehensive victory. Final score 3-11 to 0-2.
The final is against Three Friars (Mullinavat/Piltown) and may be played before the Senior county final this weekend. Best of luck to all Players and Management.
