South Tipperary is down to the semi finals in the O’Donoghue Motor Factors u-21 FC ‘A’ with the first game on Friday in Dr Morris Pk, Thurles at 7.30 with 2012 finalists Clonmel Commercials playing Ballyporeen.

Commercials have shown reasonable form to date with Evan Comerford, Seamus Kennedy, Jason Lonergan, Ian Fahey and Michael Quinlivan to call on and are favourites to advance but Ballyporeen with John O’Cahlahan, John Martin, the Barrretts Danny and Niall and Mikey Sweeney to call on could make it difficult for them.

The second semi final takes place on Saturday in Ned Halll Park, Clonmel at 4pm with Ardfinnan playing Moyle Rovers. Ardfinnan are very much the in-form team with Jonathan Ryan, Billy Hewitt, Daniel O’Reagan and Tom Kirwan all playing well and could just edge out Moyle Rovers who have Philip Quirke, the Mulcahys David and Ross, James Cahill, Kevin O’Donnell, Cathal Quigley and Liam Carey all with a lot of experience.

And the youthfulness of the Bolands Luke and Liam will make it very difficult for Ardfinnan with this game hard to call as the game of the weekend. Do not miss this encounter and come along also on Saturday next to the first semi final of the Halls Alarm U21 ‘B’ Championship in Monroe at 4pm with the impressive Killenaule top of the table with Aiden Leahy, James Feehan, Adam O’Connell, David Guinan, Rory Loughman, James Doyle and Joe O’Dwyer all in excellent form and should be good enough when they play Grangemockler/Balllyneale/Carrick Davins combination who also have been impressive on their recent displays and emerged as runners up in Group 1.

The final game of the weekend is the Hall Alarms U21 B Group 2 Rd 2 game on Sunday in Davin Park at 11.30am when CJ Kichams Mullinahone play Clonmel Og/Clerihan for the second spot in the Group. Admission to all Semi Finals is €8 with Rd 2 game €5
