It was a busy weekend for Tipperary Minor Clubs this weekend as there was three finals up for decision.

In the Minor B Final Brian Borus defeated Cappawhite on Saturday last. Boherlahan overcame Moycarkey Borris in the Minor C Final. Holycross were defeated by Upperchurch on Sunday morning in the Minor D Plate Final.

Next Sunday Cahir will take on Moyle Rovers in the Minor A Final in Clonmel Sportsfield at 11.00am. All support is welcome for this final match of the year.

The Annual General Meeting of the Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football Association was held in the Horse & Jockey Hotel on Monday, December 2. The following officers were elected - Chairman: Tommie Campbell (Moyle Rovers); Vice Chairman (2): Ger O’Hagan (Thurles Sarsfields) and Denis Connolly (St. Ailbe’s); Secretary: Siobhan Condon (St. Ailbe’s); Assistant Secretary: Anthony O’Brien (St. Ailbe’s); Treasurer: Biddy Ryan (Ardfinnan); Assistant Treasurer: Olive McDonnell (Templemore); PRO: Michelle Donnelly (Moycarkey Borris); Registrar: Nora Morrissey (Brian Borus); Development Officer: Siobhan Condon (St. Ailbe’s); Integration Officer: Tony Fox (Cahir); Cultural & Language Officer: Pat Morrissey (Holycross); Adult Fixtures: Ger O’Hagan (Thurles Sarsfields) and Denis Connolly (St. Ailbe’s); Juvenile Fixtures: Ann Slattery (Moycarkey Borris).

Gaelic4girls is a nationwide programme offered by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association to clubs for girls aged between 8 and 12. Coláiste Dun Iascaigh, Cahir overcame Coláiste Ide Agus Iosef, Abbeyfeale in the Senior A Cup Quarter Final last Friday and look forward to the Semi Final Wednesday December 11th against St. Mary’s, Macroom in Cahir at 2.15pm

Scoil Mhuire Carrick are in Semi Final of the Senior B Cup against Coláiste Choilm, Ballincollig while their Junior team are competing against St. Brigid’s, Killarney in the Junior C Cup Semi Final on Thursday 12th Dec at 11.45 in Fermoy.

Presentation Secondary School Clonmel are in the Senior C Cup Semi Final and their Junior team are in the Junior C Plate Semi Final. The school is also, currently number 7 in the charts with their single “My Hero” which is a fundraiser for Saint Vincent de Paul.

CTI, Clonmel have successfully reached the Senior E Final in the Munster Post Primary Competitions when they overcame Scoil Pol on a scoreline of 6-11 to 4-7. They are still waiting to find out who they will be competing against as the other Semi Final has not been played yet.
