Clonmel Commercials under 10s have enjoyed a busy year and have played in numerous games and blitz competitions.

This wonderful group of players are now enjoying a break which is very important as they need a rest over the next few weeks.

Thankfully our under 10 coaches have recognised the need for a break and the group will reassemble after the school holidays. Thanks to all the players and parents for their help and we look forward to a return by a refreshed group in the early weeks of the new school year.

Junior Ladies

Our junior ladies were defeated on Sunday by a very good Boherlahan side. This team is competing in the “A” grade for the first time and having won their opening game again competed very well on Sunday.

Our seniors have one more game in the group stages of the County and have qualified for the South semi-final. As the serious games approach all players are expected to give the required commitment.

August 19th is the date for the commencement of club’s annual Summer Camp. For many years now the camp has been run successfully as a fun camp and the format will be similar this year. The camp is open to all boys and girls from 6 to 14 years of age. The club is pleased to once again be able to keep the costs of the camp down to just €35 for a single child or €50 for a family of more than one child. More details in the coming weeks.

Club Lotto

The club Lotto in association with St.Mary’s Hurling club has a jackpot of €1,800 and the next draw will take place in Eldon’s on Sunday night next. We would like to thank all who continue to support the Lotto and appeal to club members to renew their efforts to sell tickets for the Lotto.

The County Board will honour the Clonmel Commercials County winning sides of 1969 and 1971 at this year’s County Senior Football Final. If anyone has contact details of any of these players please contact Ned Brophy on 085-7054592.
