Semple Stadium will host Tipperary’s Intermediate Ladies Footballers who will play the Ulster champions Fermanagh in the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship Semi-Final on September 7 at 2.15pm.
This game will precede the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship Semi-Final Cork v Kerry at 4pm. A great day’s football is promised. Admission to Semple Stadium is €10 for adults, €5 for Students / OAP’s while all Under 16s are free. All support for the team on the day would be welcome.
The County Tipperary Senior Championship Final placings were decided on Friday evening last when Brian Borus defeated Cahir setting up a meeting with Cappawhite in the Final. On Sunday last the Under 12 Development Squad travelled to the National University of Ireland Galway Sports Pavilion & Pitches at Dangan (Galway City) for an Inter County Blitz organised by the Galway Ladies Football County Board. Tipperary played Galway, Clare and Westmeath and in the Plate final they defeated Galway. A special thanks to all the mentors of the team, parents and supporters who travelled on the day. Congratulations to all the girls who played so well on the day.
Week two of Tipperary’s Ladies Gaelic Football Under 13 Development training continued in Ballylooby last Sunday. The training was well attended with even more participants this week and everyone had a fun day. For anyone who missed the first two weeks and wishes to take part in future sessions, the opportunity is open. Week three and the final week to register will take place in the Garda College field, Templemore at 10.45am. This is also the final week for ordering the training gear. On Saturday September 7 Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football will commence training with the Under 15 Development squad in Golden at 10.30am. All girls are welcome (born year 1998 & 1999). Clubs are asked to where possible to forward the Girls Names/ D.O.B/ Club and Parents or Guardians mobile number (note only adults number) for Teamer Text in advance of their attendance to the development squad. Munster Ladies Football have EXTENDED the application deadline to their new Club School link Programme for the coming school year. Every club is open to participate in the programme with two clubs from each county in the Province being selected. The Ladies Gaelic Football Association is offering your club the chance to play in Croke Park at their 40th All Ireland Final on September 29th. They require 6 Under 10 teams and 6 Gaelic4Mothers & Others teams to play at half time of the three TG4 All- Ireland Championship Finals. (All teams should consist of 10 players per team). An Under 14 team (12 players per team) is required to assist as Ball Girls during the three All-Ireland Championship Finals and three Under 14 teams are needed to officiate at the half time of the Exhibition Games (12 Players per team). Ladies Gaelic Football are delighted to announce details of the National Gaelic4Mothers & Others Blitz Day which will take place on the 19th October in Naomh Mearnog GAA Club, Portmarnock, Dublin.
