Tipperary’s Intermediate Ladies Footballers have been drawn to play the Ulster champions Fermanagh in the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship Semi-Final on September 7 at a venue to be confirmed later in the week. Following our extra time victory over Longford on August 17, the result was the subject of a Longford appeal in to a point scored during the Quarter-Final. The appeal was dealt with on Friday last and the Ladies Gaelic Football Association declined the appeal.
On Saturday, September 7 Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football will commence training with the Under 15 Development squad in Golden at 10.30am. All girls are welcome (born year 1998 & 1999). Clubs are asked to where possible to forward the Girls Names/ D.O.B/ Club and Parents or Guardians mobile number (note only adults number) for Teamer Text in advance of their attendance to the development squad. Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football Under 12 Player Development training commenced on Saturday last in Golden. Next week on Sunday September 1st there is an Inter County Blitz in Dangan, Galway and the squad will be looking forward to competing in it.
The Under 8 and Under 10 Blitz was held in Golden on Saturday last. Well done to all the clubs who participated in the blitz. A great day was had by all and a special thanks to Golden for the use of their facilities.
Under the Munster Development Plan, Munster Ladies Gaelic Football Association will support the roll out of five Ready Steady Coach workshops in the County Tipperary. Munster Ladies Football have launched their new Club School link Programme for the coming school year. Every club is open to participate in the programme with two clubs from each county in the Province being selected. They require 6 Under 10 teams and 6 Gaelic4Mothers & Others teams to play at half time of the three TG4 All- Ireland Championship Finals. (All teams should consist of 10 players per team). An Under 14 team (12 players per team) is required to assist as Ball Girls during the three All-Ireland Championship Finals and three Under 14 teams are needed to officiate at the half time of the Exhibition Games (12 Players per team).
