A radio documentary featuring Thurles Sarsfields and Tipperary hurler Pádraic Maher on Sunday, November 17th at 11.50am on SPIN South West.
The series of ‘This Sporting Life’ programmes is produced by Ciarán Ryan, a native of Newport, who is now based in Limerick as a freelance radio producer. Ciarán previously produced ‘The Famine Is Over’ documentary for Tipp FM in 2008.
SPIN South West is a regional music station for 15 to 34-year-olds based in the South West of Ireland and broadcasts to Kerry, Clare, Limerick, North Tipperary and South West Laois. The station is on air since 2007 and has developed a culture of promotion of independent broadcasting and supporting radio in the region, through active participation in the BAI Sound & Vision fund.
This Sporting Life is made with the support of the Broadcast Authority Of Ireland’s Sound & Vision Scheme. The Broadcasting Funding Scheme (Sound & Vision II) was established to provide funding in support of high quality programmes on Irish culture, heritage and experience, and programmes to improve adult literacy.
