Sars’ make history in O’Riain Cup win
Sarsfields 3-18 Carrick Davins 1-13
The Seamus O’Riain Cup might not have been the silverware Thurles Sarsfields had designs on at the start of the season, but they made history in Clonmel Sportsfield on Sunday evening by winning their first such title.
Fielding no more than five of their regular senior team, the Thurles lads had little enough difficulty in claiming the spoils in this game which was played in a very sporting manner.
