Cashel King Cormacks 3-13 Golden KIlfeacle 0-9
A powerful display from Cashel King Cormacs saw them retain their senior status at the last chance saloon in New Inn on Sunday evening last and doom Golden Kilfeacle to the Intermediate ranks for next year.
A brace of goals, one either side of the break propelled Cashel to a position of dominance and forged an insurmountable wedge between the teams. The first of these came in stoppage time at the end of the first half when a long delivery from a Jonathan Grogan free landed on the edge of the square and powerful full forward Adrian Cummins rose highest to flick the sliotar on. As the ball dropped it was the fleet footed Robert Anglim who reacted sharply and managed to divert to the net with a flick past the despairing keeper.
