Holycross Ballycahill 0-17 Boherlahan Dualla 0-14
In an enthralling clash Holycross Ballycahill reignited their championship season by defeating local rivals Boherlahan Dualla on Saturday evening last in Littleton.
This encounter was everything that you would expect from such a grudge match as it was fiercely contested from the first whistle to last on a great evening for hurling. The match edged in favour of Holycross when Boherlahan were reduced to fourteen men nine minutes into the second half as Paul Creed saw red after he floored Colm McGrath with a late challenge. At this juncture in proceedings there was but a single point dividing the sides, however Holycross gained the upper hand from this point forward and but for some poor use of possession aligned with some heroic last stitch defending could have won by more. This kept Boherlahan alive in the contest and set up a nerve tingling finale as the threat of a goal was very much alive right to the conclusion.
