Tipperary civic honour for BT Young Scientist winners

The achievement of two Tipperary Town students is to be formally recognised in their own town.

Members of Tipperary/Cahir/Cashel Municipal District approved of giving BT Young Scientist winners Shane O’Connor and Liam Carew a Civic Reception.

Cllr Michael Fitzgerald proposed that the two students be given the highest civic honour possible in their own town.
He said they had brought great honour to their families, their school and to the town. Cllr Roger Kennedy seconded the proposal.
Chairman Cllr Micheál Anglim said it was a tremendous achievement, one, he said that should be recognised in their own town and county.
All of the members gave their backing to the proposal.
