Councillor Sean Ryan extended his congratulations to Loughmore native Brian Gleeson on his Grand Slam win on Sunday.
Cllr Ryan said at this week’s meeting of the Thurles Templemore District Council that Brian Gleeson was a former student of his.
“We are all so proud of him,” said Cllr Ryan.
Cllr Noel Coonan also extended his congratulations.
“Congratulations, and we wish him well," said Cllr Coonan.
Cllr Seamus Hanafin also extended his congratulations to the various St Patrick’s Day committees in the district, who he said did great work.
Cllr Peggy Ryan supported that with a special congratulations to the Thurles Community Panto Society.
She said their performance was "fantastic.
