THE BOG Road on the way to Doon looked like the Port of Dover due to the long line of trucks on Sunday.
The convoy of lorries, which will live long in the memory, was for the Donnacha Ryan (Luke) memorial truck and tractor run. The young man from Shanacloon, Cappamore passed away days after his 18th birthday in a tragic road traffic incident last August.
Donnacha loved everything from tractors to cars to trucks and motorbikes so this was the perfect event to honour his memory.
Over 500 trucks and tractors joined the run from Tipperary Town to Doon which was organised by his parents Mikey and Nicola, sister Aisling, and a hard-working organising committee. The night was rounded off with a concert in Doon Community Centre.
In a Facebook post, Mikey, Nicola and Aisling thanked everyone who helped, supported or entered a car / truck / tractor to make the day the success it has been.
