Dan Breen Wedding Film

A film re-enactment of the wartime wedding of Dan Breen and Bridget Malone will be screened at Carrick Library on Friday, May 19 from 2.30pm to 3pm.

This black and white production by scriptwriter Mary Alice O'Connor was filmed mainly at Ballyglass House just outside Tipperary Town.

Making Yourself a Priority Talk
This talk on self-care by Eileen English, counsellor and psychotherapist takes place at Carrick Library on Monday, May 22 from 11am to 12pm.

This talk will look at: What is self care? Why it is okay to put yourself first, and selfish not to. Why is self care important and the benefits of self-care

Carrick Library Miscellany

Taking inspiration from the RTÉ Radio 1 Sunday Miscellany programme, Carrick-on-Suir Library presents poetry, prose and musical interludes from local writers and musicians on Wednesday, May 24 from 7pm to 8.15pm.

The Library will welcome writers Ann Dempsey, Mary O’Hanlon, Walter Dunphy, Richard Cahill, Mary O’Gorman and Joe Whelan. Music by Laura Britton on bass guitar and Chris Britton on saxophone and keyboards.

Campervan Conversion Talk
Campervan enthusiast, Aaron Burchael, who hosts the Charlie & Me: Our Camping Vlog on YouTube, will give this talk at the Library on Thursday, May 25 at 6.30pm.

Aaron escaped the tedium of the Covid-19 lockdown by transforming a scrapped HSE ambulance into a mini holiday home on wheels.

He documents his travels with his cocker spaniel Charlie on his YouTube vlog. Aaron will speak about all things camping in Ireland during his informative and entertaining talk.
