Recent renovation work at the Ballymacarbry Community Centre

Over the past number of weeks the Ballymacarbry community centre committee has been busy getting some renovations and improvements carried out.

A new storage room is being progressed within the centre which will provide us with much needed secure general storage. We are also preparing for some upcoming painting within the building that will see our Astro turf facility receive a much needed fresh coat of paint. This work is being funded in the main by a much appreciated grant provided by the ‘Community Centres Investment Fund’ which provided almost €450,000 to community centres across Waterford last year. This funding will help us to maintain Ballymacarbry community centre in the best possible condition for all users.
In addition to the above works, we have also relined the parking spaces in the center’s carpark over the past few days. Again, this work will help to ensure the centre continues to look its best for all users.
Our hostel facility continues to be extremely busy with a wide variety of group interests visiting us in recent weeks. Some much needed renovations to the shower units within these hostel rooms were completed lately which will maintain the high standards we try to keep for our lodgers. We’d like to sincerely thank all the local tradespeople that were involved in this recently completed and ongoing work!
