Thurles Tourist office is in the heart of Thurles and worth a visit
An open forum to discuss tourism in the mid-Tipperary area is to be held in Thurles in late September. Provisionally fixed for the evening of September 21 in the Source, Thurles, the event is being organised by the Tipperary Heartlands Tourism Group and is open to everyone with an interest in developing and improving tourism in the general Thurles/Templemore/Cashel area.
The Tipperary Heartlands group consists of about a dozen local tourism related ventures and run the Tourist Information Office at Slievenamon Road, Thurles. It is anticipated that the meeting will discuss the problems and opportunities relating to local tourism.
It will also serve to draw the attention of official bodies such as Fáilte Ireland, Government Departments and County Council to the potential for tourism development in the area and provide an opportunity for networking.
In the run-up to the event, the Tipperary Star will publish a weekly column on local tourism stories with two local tourism related concerns telling their story each week.
If you would like the story of your particular venture to be included please contact the Tourist Information Office at Slievenamon Road, phone 0504 27534 or email hello@thurlestouristoffice.ie
