Traffic delays are expected in Carrick-on-Suir town centre this week and next week due to site investigations involving the creation of slit trenches on roads and footpaths.
The site investigations are to be carried out by Glas Civil Engineering Ltd and are due to start today Monday (August 14).
The works involve two road closures, each of one day duration at Bridge Street and Chapel Street respectively.
Traffic management will be in place to minimise disruption to traffic and businesses.
As the majority of the works will be carried out on footpaths, Tipperary County Council says it expects that they should not impact traffic movements to a large extent.
“However, we accept that there will be some level of disturbance which is regrettable. Notification of road closures will be published on our website.
“Tipperary County Council regrets any inconvenience as a result of the necessary works," the council added.
The council requested anyone who has queries in relation to the works to contact 0818 06 5000.
