The funeral of the Carrick-on-Suir man who died tragically in a road traffic accident on the N24 near Kilsheelan last week, takes place this evening and tomorrow (Monday and Tuesday, October 9 and 10).
Father-of-two Peter Mulcahy of 9 Woodland Heights, Carrickbeg, Carrick-on-Suir died last Thursday when the van he was driving was involved in a collision with a car on the N24 between Kilsheelan and the MSD plant at Ballydine. The accident occurred at approximately 1.20pm.
Mr Mulcahy, who was aged in his 40s, is survived by his heartbroken wife Louise and loving sons Peter Junior and Arlo; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, parents-in-law, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Peter and Ena.
Peter's remains will repose at Walsh's Funeral Home in Carrick on Suir today (Monday, October 9) from 5pm to 6.30pm.
Requiem Mass will take place at St Molleran's Church in Carrickbeg tomorrow (Tuesday, October 10) at 11am and will be followed by burial in St Mary's Cemetery, Dungarvan Road, Carrick-on-Suir.
