Housing update - 342 Tipperary houses commenced in April
The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage today published its monthly data on the number of Commencement Notices (residential construction starts) for April 2024.
So far, in 2024 there has been a total of 512 houses commenced in Tipperary which is an increase of over 400% from the same time frame last year.
In April alone, 342 houses have been commenced which compared to last year's figure of just 21 houses is a massive 1530% increase.
The report found that a record 18,000 new homes were started in April throughout the country with over 30,000 houses commenced so far this year.
The amount of houses commenced in April 2024 was reported as the highest seen in any month since the series began in 2024.
