Fine Gael are looking like they will be losing a seat on the County Council in the Cashel-Tipperary Local Electoral Area.
Following Michael Fitzgerald's departure ahead of this election, Matthew Fogarty was the replacement to step up for Fine Gael.
Fogarty was expected to inherit Fitzgerald's vote.
The departing councillor, who served on the County Council for 45 years, was the poll-topper across the whole county in 2019's election, amassing over 3,000 votes.
However, it appears from the tallies that Fitzgerald's vote has gone to Independent candidate John O'Heney, who is currently topping the poll, with 2,478 votes at the conclusion of the tally.
Fogarty meanwhile, is looking very unlikely to win the seat, sat on 333 votes.
