Spelling whizz Ollie O'Connor from Cahir returned to his old primary school, Grange NS, to present €3,500 worth of books that he won for its library when he was crowned Easons Munster Spelling Bee champion last year.
Ollie won the Easons Spelling Bee County Final in March last year when he battled it out with 27 other schools from county Tipperary.
He then represented Tipperary in the Munster Final in Cork last May and was crowned the Easons Spelling Bee Munster Champion 2024.
Ollie went on to represent Munster in the Easons Spelling Bee All-Ireland Final in The Helix in Dublin last June. He was accompanied at the final by all his classmates, but was narrowly beaten on the day.
