Following the tragic passing of Michael O'Sullivan, racing resumed at Punchestown on Thursday where Killusty native Jake Coen rode the biggest winner of his career when partnering the Breakaway’s Syndicate-owned Fortunedefortunata to land the €100,000 Grand National Trial Handicap Chase over three-miles and three-furlongs.
A mistake at the final fence from the Gordon Elliott-trained 14/1 chance briefly gave his own stable companion Will Do, a 15/2 shot, a chance but the winner picked up well to score by a comfortable two and a quarter lengths.
