Rockwell College chef Gearoid O'Sullivan retired after 42 years
A well-known Tipperary chef has hung up his hat after over 40 years of service.
Gearoid O’Sullivan was the chef at Cashel’s Rockwell College, who retired earlier this month after 42 years of service to the school.
Mr O’Sullivan started working at the school in 1982, later being appointed as the school’s head chef in 1993.

The popular chef was celebrated by Rockwell College following his retirement, with the college saying that he became a “central figure” to the school.
“Gearoid was a central figure in the Rockwell community. His loyalty and dedication to the school went far beyond the kitchen, as he built lasting relationships with staff and students alike,” a statement from Rockwell College said.

“Rockwell was more than just a workplace—it was home, and his presence will be deeply missed,” the school added.
Wishing Mr O’Sullivan the best on his retirement, Rockwell College expressed their gratitude for his years of service.
