Tipperary band 'Hurling' is an introspective indie-emo band with band members hailing from Thurles and Templemore. They are set to perform at the Source Arts Centre in Thurles on Friday, 30 January 2026 at 8 p.m. Tickets are priced at €12.

The trio, consisting of Ciara O’Brien on bass and vocals, Eddie McCormack on guitar and vocals, and Kevin Callanan on drums, blends arpeggiated melodic indie rhythms with heart-on-sleeve lyricism. Their sound draws inspiration from the likes of Death Cab For Cutie, American Football, and Jimmy Eat World.

Reflecting on the band’s origins, Eddie McCormack said, “After spending time writing and recording music in other bands we came together with the aim of writing songs that were much more personal thematically. This coincided with all of us just buying a lot of outboard gear which then led to us taking a more DIY approach to the recording of our music.”

'Hurling’s' focus on personal songwriting informs their candid exploration of themes including introversion, anxiety, a-romanticism, and insecurity.

Their latest release, 'I Could Never Make A Glasshouse My Home,' arrived in November 2025, following their debut single 'Salem, Salem, Salem, Salem, Salem' in August of the same year. With additional singles planned and their upcoming Thurles performance, 2026 promises to be a busy year for the band.

Further information about the upcoming performance and tickets to the gig are available to book in advance and can be purchased through The Source Arts Centre's website through the following link - Tickets.
