The girls of 6th class from Our Lady of Mercy Primary School presented the proceeds of their Christmas market, which took place in December to Breda Ryan representing the South Tipperary Hospice last week.
For their Christmas market the girls made handmade decorations and homemade treats to sell to the pupils and staff in the school and much preparation was needed for the event with the hall being transformed for the festive occasion. Breda visited the girls to thank them for their generosity of spirit and she said that the €1,320 raised will be invaluable in providing palliative care for patients and support for families in South Tipperary.
