€2,100 worth of cash and jewellery stolen in Nenagh burglaries

A total of €2,100 worth of cash and jewellery was stolden in two separate burglaries in Nenagh in the past week.

Both houses were broken into last Wednesday, leading to suspicions that the same culprits were involved in both.

Jewellery to the value of €800 and €700 in cash were stolen from a house in Coille Bheithe off St Conlon's Road. A patio door window was smashed to gain entry to the property sometime between 8pm and 9pm.

The other burglary occurred about an hour earlier in Ciamalta Meadows. A rear patio door was broken and the property ransacked.The intruders made off with €600 worth of jewellery.

Gardaí are interested in speaking to a number of youths who were seen getting out of a van in the area on the night.
