Independent TD Mattie McGrath will formally launch his General Election Campaign at 7pm on Sunday February 7th at the Cahir House Hotel in Co. Tipperary. Deputy McGrath said that the launch will be a mainly social event as he and his many supporters gather to kick of an energetic and committed campaign:
“This election campaign will be the first of its kind for Co. Tipperary given how the merger of both parts of the county has changed the electoral dynamic.
I am greatly looking forward to meeting people and hear what their hopes and concerns are.
I have thoroughly enjoyed spending the last number of months getting to know many of the areas that did not previously fall within my constituency, something I mean to continue in the weeks ahead.
I am also delighted that the response on the ground has been very encouraging.
The campaign launch will hear from a variety of speakers, including from the National Association of General Practitioners (NAGP) and other community activists and volunteers who I have worked closely with over the years.
There will be traditional music as well as music from Willie Bun who is the well known voice of Connect Tipperary.
All in all it is set to be great night as we get ready to engage in a spirted and committed general election campaign," concluded Deputy McGrath.
