Joan Freeman, Founder of suicide and self-harm crisis centre Pieta House, will launch Darkness Into Light 2016 with Electric Ireland in The Kearney Castle Hotel, Cashel on Monday, March 21st at 6.30pm.
Taking place on Saturday, 7th of May, Darkness into Light is a unique, early morning fundraising event which begins in darkness at 4.15am as thousands of people walk or run a 5km route while dawn is breaking. This year, Darkness into Light will take place in over 100 locations in Ireland and abroad including in the UK, Canada and Australia. Venues across Tipperary which will host DIL this year include Cashel, Roscrea, Killaloe/Ballina (joint event) and the newly added locations of Nenagh and Carrick-On-Suir this year.
Registration and route information for Darkness into Light is available now at darknessintolight.ie and all are welcome to attend the launch in Cashel.
