South Tipperary Young Fine Gael held their Annual General Meeting in Foley’s Bar in Cashel on Friday, February 19th.
There was a new committee elected. The committee is as follows: Chairperson; Kieran Tobin, Secretary; Ciara Quinlan, Vice Chairperson; Kenneth Conlon, Treasurer; Malachy Scott, PRO; Danielle Gayson and OCM; Rachael Quinlan. Councillors Mary Hanna Hourigan, Marie Murphy and Michael Murphy were in attendance along with Senator Colm Burke.
Incoming Chair, Kieran Tobin said “I'm delighted to take up the role of branch Chairperson. Unfortunately, it now looks like Tipperary will not be represented in the next government as those who have have made careers out of being opposition TD’s and others who refuse to put the best interests of the country first continue to wash their hands of any responsibility”. Declan Burgess, a member of Young Fine Gael’s National Executive, said “As the Regional Organiser for this province I look forward to working alongside the new committee in seeing a rebuild of the Fine Gael organisation following a disastrous election for our party in Tipperary”. He continued by highlighting that Young FG members in Tipperary have a key role in future elections for our party.
