People all over Tipperary are joining their friends and neighbours in cleaning their communities of litter and rubbish as part of Ireland’s largest annual anti-litter campaign, ‘#springclean16’.

April 1st marked the first day of the 18th annual An Taisce’s National Spring Clean Campaign. National Spring Clean campaign is organised by An Taisce and funded by the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government.

Last year, community groups and individuals collected an estimated 500 tonnes of litter, with over 35% of this recycled and the balance safely disposed of.
