Water rationing in Cahir and Clerihan areas due to burst main

Water supply to customers in the South Tipperary area has been affected by a burst water main on the Ardfinnan Regional Water Supply Scheme last night.

Water is being rationed in the Cahir and Ballyclerihan areas and a water tanker will be provided in Ardfinnan from 11.30am this morning. Irish Water are working with Tipperary County Council to repair the water main, crews are on site at the moment, and it is hoped that normal water supply will resume to all areas by late tonight.

The areas affected are as follows:

Goatenbridge, Ardfinnan and surrounding area, areas surrounding Clogheen, Newcastle and surrounding area, Ballyclerihan and surrounding area, Cahir, Marlfield, Rathkeevin, Poulmucka, areas north and north-west of Clonmel, and areas west of Fethard and south of Rosegreen.
