Kenyon Street car park in Nenagh will close for three days from this Wednesday to facilitate the ongoing pipe laying work.
A spokesperson for Tipperary County Council said it was always intended that this would happen and this was signalled at meetings with the contractors.
“The closure is necessary in order to allow the works to progress past the junction with the car park. It will be re-opened by Saturday. By Saturday the works will have progressed to between the Market Cross and the Kenyon Street Car Park.
It is hoped that the laneways at the end of Kenyon Street at Teach an Leinn / MacMathunas will be opened up,” said the spokesperson.
