Clonmel Triathlon Club members travelled to Galway to take part in the inaugural Challenge Ireland event.
Athletes raced over two days at sprint, Olympic, half Ironman and full Ironman distances.
Many Clonmel Triathlon Club members were taking on these race distances for the first time.
Nine members completed the full Ironman race (3.8 km swim, 180 km cycle and 42 km run).
Special mention to Ian Purcell who came 9th overall and second in his age group in a time of 10 hours 28 minutes, qualifying comfortably for the world championships in Slovakia in June 2017.
Also joining him there is Gareth Coleman, who came 4th in age group.
Clonmel Tri was also very well represented in the half ironman distance.
Well done to Michael Scully who also secured qualification for the Challenge world championships.
