10,000 attend Cut Loose Festival

They came from all over Ireland and even abroad for the annual Cut Loose Country Music Festival in Holycross on Sunday and what a bumper day it was for everyone who attended, writes Noel Dundon.

A crowd of up to 10,000 people arrived at St Michael's GAA Grounds and were treated to a magnificent festival of country music from the likes of Michael English, Louise and Norman Morrissey, Robert Mizzel, Declan Nerney, up and coming star Cliona Hagan and of course the tour-de-force at the present time that is Nathan Carter.

Yes, his Wagon Wheel rolled into Holycross and when he came on stage the whole event lifted a few notches.
