Drom native is BUPA CEO

The village of Drom near Thurles can be proud that one of their own has scaled the heights of corporate success this week, with the announcement that Evelyn Bourke has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of health insurer BUPA.

BUPA employs 84,000 people and serves 32 million customers in 190 countries. On Monday, the company officially announced that Tipperary woman Evelyn Bourke will formally assume the role of CEO, having been acting CEO since April 4th when the former CEO, Stuart Fletcher, stepped down.

Evelyn said: “"I am honoured to become Bupa’s Chief Executive. Bupa is a fantastic organisation with dedicated and talented people focused on delivering great customer service and care in today’s fast-paced and changing world.
