Two trailers stolen from farmyards

Two trailers were stolen from farmyards in the Clonoulty and Thomastown areas on the same night last week.

A silver double axle Ifor Williams trailer worth about €2000 was stolen from a farmyard on the Tipperary Road close to Clonoulty village between 7.15pm and 8.40am on Thursday night/Friday morning August 18 and 19.

The same night a 6x4 blue trailer was swiped from a farm yard at Rathcloheen, Thomastown, Golden.

Gardai believe the trailer thefts were carried out by the same criminals and have appealed to anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or suspicious vehicles in these areas on the night of August 18/19 to contact Tipperary Town Garda Station at (062) 51212.

They are also investigating the theft of a cast iron garden bench from the garden of a house at Garnacanty on the Dundrum Road near Tipperary Town between 10pm and 9.30am on August 17/18

. Again anyone with information that may help the gardai investigating this theft should contact Tipperary Garda Station.
