Man dies in car crash in north Tipperary

Gardai in Nenagh are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N52 at Ardcroney at approximately 2am on Saturday morning.

A male in his 30s was fatally injured when the car he was driving and the sole occupant left the road and collided with a fence.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to University Hospital Limerick.

This stretch of road was closed for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions were in place.
